The unit interfaces with a PLC and manages current loops, speed loops, and feedback, allowing closed-loop motion without separate amplifier cards. This integrated control structure reduces the number of external components required for coordinated motor operation.
Control signals are issued through the IG-IO terminal strip, a digital interface that transmits enable, fault, and setpoint signals. Motor position feedback enters through a resolver channel, and the drive can provide an encoder simulation of 1024 increments for downstream controllers that require quadrature pulses.
