The 12.S4.E30-349V is a servo controller produced by KEB for the S4 Combivert Servo Controllers series. It accepts industrial line power and converts it into regulated drive voltage for motion axes used in conveyors, indexing tables, and pick-and-place gantries. Acting as the intermediary between a PLC and the motor windings, it processes real-time feedback and modulates switching elements so commanded positions, velocities, and torque limits are delivered accurately within the machine cycle. Because the unit is optimized for panel mounting, it fits easily into centralized control enclosures common to multiaxis systems.
The electrical data show how the controller fits into a power distribution panel. It is supplied from a three-phase mains source in the 400 V voltage class, giving adequate headroom for regenerative braking events. Under rated conditions, the converter processes 11.4 kVA of apparent power while drawing 18.2 A of input current.
