Product Description:
The 10.S4.D10-3470 servo controller is produced by KEB and belongs to the S4 Combivert Servo Controllers series. It converts three-phase supply power into a regulated output for synchronous or asynchronous servo motors, enabling precise velocity and torque control in packaging lines, material-handling stations, and machine-tool axes. As a drive module, it receives digital or analog commands from a PLC and modulates motor voltage and frequency to execute coordinated motion profiles.
This device draws an input current of 7 A from a three-phase mains network and should be protected with a 10 A fuse on the supply side. Conductors with a 1.5 mm² cross section link the unit to the mains. Its rated output current is 6.4 A, which is also the continuous stall value available at zero speed. When rapid acceleration is required, the controller delivers a peak current of 22 A for up to 200 ms. During such transients, the internal design dissipates 110 W of heat by conduction and cabinet airflow. Installation is simplified by a compact depth of 160 mm, and an enclosure with an IP20 protection rating provides finger-safe shielding while requiring placement inside a switchgear cabinet. The drive supports motor cable runs up to 50 m, so it can be mounted remotely from the actuator.
The mechanical envelope is completed by a width of 90 mm and a height of 240 mm, allowing multiple axes to be stacked closely on a panel. The controller sustains full performance at sites situated up to 2000 m above sea level, and its circuitry conforms to climatic category 3K3, indicating tolerance to moderate humidity and non-condensing dust. Observing these dimensional and environmental limits keeps semiconductor temperatures within design margins and prevents thermal derating during repetitive high-torque cycles. Adequate cabinet ventilation and adherence to the specified wiring distances further ensure stable operation throughout the service life of the machine.
