Product Description:
The 07.S4.D11-347E is a servo controller manufactured by KEB for the S4 Combivert Servo Controllers series. It regulates three-phase AC motors in automated machinery, delivering closed-loop speed and torque control while interfacing with factory PLCs and feedback devices. By converting line power and executing high-speed current loops, the unit supplies precisely timed motor current that keeps synchronous and induction motors on commanded motion profiles in assembly cells, packaging lines, and material-handling axes. This control behavior helps the drive respond cleanly to changing load conditions during acceleration, deceleration, and constant-speed operation.
A digital current regulator updates every 64 µs, so torque commands are applied before flux changes can distort motor response. The drive draws a rated input of 3 A and provides a continuous 2.7 A output; the same current is available at stall, so full torque can be maintained at zero speed without derating. For rapid acceleration, peak output reaches 10.6 A. The three-phase supply requires balanced conductors, and the minimum specified cross-section is 1.5 mm² to help limit voltage drop. An enclosure rated at IP20 protects internal electronics from accidental contact while allowing heat to vent into the cabinet, and the internal control algorithms monitor phase current to reduce overcurrent trips.
The unit belongs to the 400 V Class, so it can be used with European 380 to 420 V utility supplies and isolating transformers of similar rating. Internal dissipation is limited to 95 W, which helps when sizing cabinet ventilation for multiple axes operating side by side. Motion feedback is handled through a Resolver interface with 12-bit angular resolution, while an auxiliary 1024 ppr encoder output is routed through the IG-IO connector for external monitoring. Integrated EMC filters reduce conducted emissions on shared power lines, and the maximum line fuse of 10 A matches the rated input for fault protection without unnecessary nuisance tripping.
