Product Description:
The 05.S4.R31-1200 is a servo controller produced by KEB and assigned to the S4 Combivert Servo Controllers series. It interfaces between a three-phase mains supply and a matched servo motor, modulating voltage and current so that industrial automation axes follow commanded speed or position profiles with closed-loop precision. It manages motor current in response to control commands so the connected axis can accelerate, hold speed, and settle accurately at target positions. This type of controller is used where stable servo regulation is needed for coordinated machine motion.
This controller dissipates 75 W of heat at full load and draws a nominal input of 7 A from the line. Under continuous duty, the inverter delivers a rated output of 6.4 A, while short bursts can reach a peak of 14.8 A for dynamic acceleration before the 600 ms time limit elapses. Protection for exposed terminals is classified as IP20, so installation inside a cabinet is required. Current overload capability is 2.3 × Ido, giving temporary torque amplification without thermal damage. The same 6.4 A value applies to stall current when the motor is held motionless, and the maximum mains fuse is 10 A with a recommended line cross section of 1.5 mm². This operating behavior helps the drive respond to changing load demands during indexing and short positioning moves.
Environmental limits follow the 3K3 climatic category, and operation is allowed up to 95 % relative humidity without condensation and to a ceiling altitude of 2000 m before derating is necessary. The controller withstands repetitive current surges for 600 ms and supports motor cables up to 50 m long, which simplifies routing inside large machines. Its filtered power stage is intended for 200 V three-phase networks. This operating range suits positioning tables, packaging lines, and material-handling gantries where enclosed servo control is required.
