By processing field-oriented control algorithms, it closes the motor feedback loop, issues pulse-width-modulated power, and supports integration into larger PLC-based motion systems. This operating method helps the controller respond quickly to changing loads while maintaining stable motor behavior during acceleration, deceleration, and low-speed positioning.
KEB samples the current loop every 64 µs, allowing tight regulation of phase currents and rapid compensation for load transients. The speed loop updates at 128 µs, so commanded velocity changes reach the shaft quickly while remaining numerically stable. Closed-loop deviation is limited to ±0.5 rpm, which keeps conveyor or spindle speed within a narrow tolerance band. Supply terminals accept conductors up to 1.5 mm², matching common industrial control wiring and supporting orderly cabinet connections. These loop rates support smooth motion in medium-inertia axes, and the controller can react to command changes without introducing unnecessary oscillation. A shaft-mounted feedback device is read through a Resolver interface and digitized to 12-bit resolution, giving fine position information to the control loop throughout each shaft rotation.
