The 05.S4-D10-327E is a servo controller produced by KEB within the S4 Combivert Servo Controllers series. It forms the interface between a PLC or motion module and a three-phase servo motor, adjusting current and voltage so that industrial axes follow commanded torque, speed, and position profiles. In the associated motor configuration, a feather-key shaft coupling transfers mechanical output, while the controller operates without an internal brake. This arrangement supports packaging stations, pick-and-place gantries, and other automated equipment that require repeatable operation at speeds up to 3000 rpm.
The power stage is supplied by a 400 V DC bus and provides a continuous phase output of 6.4 A. Transient overloads of up to 14.8 A for 600 ms provide additional current for overcoming inertia during acceleration. Internal power losses amount to 75 W, and this heat must be removed through the enclosure ventilation system. Input synchronization is maintained across a line frequency of 50/60 Hz ±2 Hz, helping the controller operate consistently on supported power networks. The electrical ratings assume the use of 1.5 mm² supply conductors. Motor cables may extend up to 50 m before external filters are required to preserve signal quality during closed-loop operation.
The style D housing measures 90 mm wide, 160 mm deep, and 240 mm high. Its IP20 protection rating requires installation inside a suitable control cabinet because the enclosure does not protect against water. The permitted operating temperature ranges from -10 to +45 °C, while the non-operating storage range extends from -25 to +70 °C. Operation is permitted at elevations up to 2000 m above sea level. The surrounding atmosphere may reach 95% relative humidity, provided that condensation does not form inside or around the controller. These placement limits allow the housing, electrical connections, and internal components to remain within their intended operating conditions.
