Product Description:
The 03.S4.R2E-3002 servo controller is manufactured by KEB and belongs to the S4 Combivert Servo Controllers series. It is intended for closed-loop regulation of brushless servomotors in industrial automation, translating motion commands from a PLC into precise phase currents, speeds, and positions. By embedding current, speed, and position algorithms, the unit governs axes used in light material handling, packaging, and assembly lines, while also generating excitation for feedback devices and returning status data to supervisory systems.
This controller supplies a rated motor phase current of 2.4 A, making it suitable for low-to-medium power drives. The current loop is recalculated every 64 µs, and the speed loop updates at 128 µs; these short cycle times support rapid torque correction and low velocity ripple. Control electronics draw from an isolated 24 V DC internal supply that remains active during mains faults for safe shutdown procedures. Rotor position is derived from a resolver and digitized with 12-bit resolution, providing fine granularity for torque linearity. Two differential analog inputs accept ±10 V references for torque or velocity commands, and integrated EMC suppression keeps conducted emissions within cabinet limits.
The drive maintains continuous operation up to 3000 rpm, and closed-loop processing limits deviation to ±0.5 rpm even under load transients. An electronic cam table stores eight preset positions, and moves finish within ±1 increment while the simulated quadrature encoder issues 1024 ppr feedback to the host controller. Housing protection is rated at IP20, so it must be mounted in an enclosure powered from a 200 V class DC bus. This arrangement supports motion control tasks that require coordinated positioning and external feedback exchange.
