The 03.S4.D2E-3011 is a servo controller manufactured by KEB for the S4 Combivert Servo Controllers series. It conditions three-phase power and supplies regulated current to synchronous or induction servomotors so that motion sequences in automated assembly cells, packaging lines, or material-handling equipment follow commands from the machine control. By integrating line-side filtering, fault monitoring, and internal cooling, the drive delivers a compact axis solution for applications that require tight speed and position regulation across the 200 V distribution level.
The controller carries a protection rating of IP20, meaning live parts are finger-safe but the housing is not sealed against liquids. Thermal management relies on a self-ventilated airflow path through the heat sink; during nominal operation the circuitry releases 65 W of loss power that this airflow must remove. An encoder simulation output of 1024 increments allows the drive to present quadrature pulses to legacy position modules when a resolver is used for primary feedback. Power cabling may be routed with conductors up to 1.5 mm², and the device synchronizes with mains frequencies of 50/60 Hz. Interference suppression components are installed at the input, and housing design D provides mounting geometry compatible with adjacent S4 frames.
The inverter can deliver a peak current of 8.5 A for up to 1200 ms, enabling rapid acceleration before it settles to the continuous value of 2.4 A. When paired with motors rated near 3000 rpm, the controller operates in the center of its speed-torque envelope, allowing vector control without excessive switching losses. Rated input currents of 4.8 A on single-phase lines and 2.6 A on three-phase feeds fit within a 16 A or 10 A mains fuse, respectively. The resolver / IG-IO interface supports absolute position feedback while interference suppression hardware limits conducted emissions toward the supply.
