Product Description:
The 01.S4.D2E-3D10 servo controller is produced by KEB within the S4 Combivert Servo Controllers series. It is intended to drive and monitor small synchronous or induction servo motors in automated machinery, supplying regulated current and position control for tasks such as indexing tables and compact handling axes. By integrating control electronics with a matched motor unit, the device forms a closed-loop actuator that simplifies cabinet wiring in industrial automation cells. This arrangement also helps the axis respond quickly to command changes while maintaining stable speed and position feedback during normal operation.
Operating from the 200 V Class supply, the controller delivers a nominal mechanical output of 0.25 kW at the motor shaft. Under continuous load, the drive can maintain a basic torque of 0.8 Nm, while a stall condition raises the holding capability to 0.95 Nm without thermal overload. At a rated speed of 3000 rpm, the torque-speed curve remains suitable for constant-velocity applications. The aluminum rotor has an inertia of 1.1 kg·cm², which supports fast acceleration without excessive current peaks. Protection of the control electronics is rated IP20, so the unit must be installed inside an enclosure that provides airflow and protects live parts from dust.
Short-term load changes can be absorbed by a pulse torque of 4.0 Nm, giving the axis added reserve for indexing motions or cutter engagement. The motor section weighs 3.1 kg, and its bearing system can withstand up to 310 N of permissible axial force and 400 N of permissible radial force, supporting belt pulleys or planetary gear inputs. The motor housing is rated IP65, and the shaft gland is sealed to IP64 against splash water at the output end. A built-in PTC thermistor shows 400 Ω when cold, allowing the drive to monitor winding temperature during operation. Operation is permitted at altitudes up to 3000 m without derating.
