Product Description:
The 23.P6.H1R-YGY0 pitch drive is manufactured by KEB within the P6 Combivert Pitch Drives series. Designed as a cabinet-mounted controller, it energizes an AC motor and supervises safety devices so that turbine blades or comparable rotary axes can hold commanded angles under variable wind or process loads. The unit combines power conversion, sensor interfaces, and brake management in a single assembly, allowing system builders to implement pitch regulation without separate converters or PLC I/O modules.
The drive accepts a three-phase, 400 V AC mains supply, which feeds an inverter sized for the pitch motor’s working range. The terminal strip provides 16 digital inputs for limit switches or PLC commands, 9 digital outputs for status signals, and 2 analog inputs for monitoring potentiometers or pressure transmitters. Two encoder channels support incremental or absolute position feedback, while a single relay output handles alarms. Compliance with EMC category C2 helps the installation control conducted emissions. Dynamic energy is dissipated through an external braking resistor, preventing DC-link overvoltage during rapid feathering cycles. A built-in humidity sensor monitors moisture inside the type R housing, and heating resistors are omitted to reduce idle power consumption.
The through-mount design places the heat sinks directly against the cabinet wall, while integrated fans maintain airflow across the power semiconductors. A high-voltage brake output secures the rotor during grid faults. The service port labeled COMBIVIS provides parameter access and real-time diagnostic data. Temperature protection is enhanced by connections for four Pt100 inputs, allowing the controller to read stator, bearing, or ambient probes. These measurements allow the drive to reduce output when monitored temperatures approach critical operating limits.
