Product Description:
The 19.P6.H3G-C3XA is a dedicated pitch-drive module manufactured by KEB for the P6 Combivert Pitch Drives series. It converts utility power into a controlled three-phase output for the blade-root motors that adjust wind-turbine pitch. This controlled movement allows the turbine controller to trim aerodynamic load, optimize energy capture, and bring the rotor to a safe stop when required.
This unit connects to a three-phase supply with a rated input voltage of 400 V, which is compatible with common industrial power networks and establishes the insulation requirements for upstream wiring. Its rated input current is 75 A, which must be considered when selecting conductor sizes and protective devices. The rated output current of 52 A is the continuous current available to the pitch motors without derating. DC-link charging is limited to 10 A, keeping inrush within the capacity of compatible auxiliary supplies. The link operates at 493 V and stores energy for rapid blade-feathering sequences. A maximum 100 A mains fuse protects the rectifier, while the through-mount design places the heat sink directly against the cabinet wall to provide a short path for heat transfer.
The cabinet-facing portion has an ingress protection rating of IP20, making it suitable for installation inside enclosed switchgear. The external heat sink has an ingress protection rating of IP54, providing resistance to dust and sprayed water within a wind-turbine nacelle. The heat sink temperature may rise to 90 °C before the drive activates its protective response. An internal fan with direction code X forces air across the fins to remove heat from the power electronics. Housing code G identifies the mechanical frame, which accommodates a motor cable up to 15 m long. The control section accepts sensor signals for closed-loop feedback, allowing accurate regulation of blade position during normal operation and emergency feathering. The module has a total mass of 16 kg, which must be considered when selecting cabinet supports and lifting equipment for installation or maintenance.
