In packaging lines, conveyors, and robotic joints, it supplies position data while also delivering mechanical holding force when power is removed.
With an axial package depth of 45.45 mm, the brake can fit into compact motor endbells, while the 101 mm back-mount flange aligns directly with standardized IEC and NEMA housings. Continuous duty is permitted, and the listed 100 % duty cycle means the coil may remain energized without thermal rest periods. Power draw stays modest at 26 W, reducing heat rise inside the machine enclosure. When power is removed, the armature develops a minimum holding torque of 32 Nm, which is sufficient to secure medium-inertia loads against gravity or process forces. Reliable engagement depends on a minimum air gap of 0.35 mm, because larger separations would slow response and reduce braking capacity. For occasional overload exposure, the assembly can reach internal temperatures up to 120 °C without demagnetizing its permanent field.
