06.P1.300-0317 is a KEB quiescent current operated brake. It is a holding brake that supports emergency stop. The product line to which the brake belongs is Combiperm. KEB has designed brakes from this series for use on servo motors. The brakes are made with powerful permanent magnets. They feature backlash free operation and are engaged frictionally. Rated operating voltage of the 06.P1.300-0317 brake is 24 Volts DC. The brake can handle maximum 155 degrees Celsius operating temperature. This high temperature limit allows brake use under a wide operating temperature range. If required, operators can order brakes with a different operating voltage. Applications for the brake include servo drives, medical equipment and machine building. Any magnetic materials present near the brake can affect its operation by weakening the torque and shift the release range.
KEB recommends providing a smooth DC voltage to the brake. In applications that experience a large temperature variation, a constant current should be supplied to the brake coil. Care should be taken to ensure power supply connection with the correct polarity. Rated torque after running in process of the brake is 9 Nm at 20 degrees Celsius.
