The 03.P1.120-0617 is a powerful permanent magnet brake designed by KEB Automation. This brake comes with a frictionally engaged and backlash-free effect. During use, and while the brake is fully energized, the magnetic field normally generated by the permanent magnet in the brake is cancelled; this causes the connected component to rotate without any residual torque. This brake can also function as a holding brake; in the case of an emergency stop when the power supply is switched off, the brake is automatically engaged to retain the load connected to the motor shaft in position. The 03.P1.120-0617 is characterized by a short response time and compact design that makes it particularly suited for use with servo motors and extremely sophisticated and precise devices used in the medical industry. The brake is also useful in intralogistics applications, electromobility devices, industrial trucks and robotic applications
The 03.P1.120-0617 standard permanent magnet brake is able to produce a rated torque of about 2.7-newton meter when it is engaged, also the standard power requirement for this product is determined to be about 11 watts.
