Product Description:
The 14.G6.CDC-39B0 is a cabinet-mounted inverter produced by KEB within the G6 Combivert IO Inverters series. The unit converts fixed mains voltage into a modulated output for closed-loop speed control of standard three-phase motors used in material handling, packaging, and general machinery. By adjusting pulse width and frequency, the drive supplies the torque profile required by the process while protecting the motor from thermal overload. It serves as the central power stage between the plant’s electrical distribution system and the motion axes controlled by the automation system.
The inverter is designed for three-phase grids operating at 400 or 480 V. It draws an input current of 23 A under nominal load, so a 25 A mains fuse provides upstream protection. On the motor side, the drive delivers a continuous output current of 16.5 A and an apparent power of 11 kVA. The rated carrier frequency is 4 kHz, balancing switching losses against motor noise during normal operation. Peak demand is supported by a short-term current limit of 29.7 A, which provides additional current during brief periods of increased load. An overcurrent release threshold of 35.6 A disconnects the output stage if an electrical fault persists.
For accelerated starts or high-slip machines, the inverter can energize motors rated up to 7.5 kW. The maximum switching frequency is 8 kHz, and the steady power loss is 220 W, which must be removed through cabinet ventilation. The size E housing measures 340 mm in height, allowing installation in narrow control cabinet rows without additional spacers. The enclosure has a protection rating of IP20 / VBG4, so it must be installed inside a clean cabinet that prevents contact with internal electrical components. Its open enclosure design permits ventilation around the power electronics while requiring protection from dust accumulation and moisture. The inverter weighs 11.3 kg, which supports manageable handling during installation and service.
