The 13.G6.FLB-YM00 inverter is manufactured by KEB and belongs to the G6 Combivert IO Inverters series. It is a voltage-source AC drive that regulates the speed and torque of three-phase induction or permanent-magnet motors in automated machinery and material-handling systems. By converting fixed utility power into a controlled output, the unit enables precise motion profiles, coordinated with higher-level controllers through the built-in EtherCAT interface.
Designed for plant supplies in the 400 V class, the drive draws an input current of 17 A and delivers a continuous output of 12 A. That current corresponds to an apparent output power of 8.3 kVA, which suits conveyors, pumps, and process equipment. The internal RFI filter suppresses conducted noise, while the integrated braking transistor channels surplus energy into an external resistor during deceleration. For motion networks, EtherCAT cyclic data exchange ties the inverter directly to PLCs, and the Safe Torque Off function disconnects the gate signals without removing mains power. Switching devices operate at a rated 4 kHz but can be driven up to 8 kHz when lower acoustic noise or finer current control is required. When commanded to stop, the safe output is held at f = 0 Hz, preventing unintended rotation.
Performance boundaries are set by overload and braking figures. The inverter can drive motors up to 5.5 kW, and firmware trips if phase current hits 216% of its continuous rating. For brief starts, a ceiling of 180% supplies extra torque before thermal models intervene. Regenerative energy is diverted to an external element no lower than 56 Ω; within this limit the transistor passes up to 15 A. Such margins permit rapid stops and restarts without surpassing device limits.
