Product Description:
The 13.G6.FLB-YA00 inverter is produced by KEB within the G6 Combivert IO Inverters series. Designed for cabinet integration, this device converts a fixed three-phase mains supply into variable-frequency output for asynchronous or synchronous motors used in conveyors, pumps, and general machinery. Closed-loop speed and torque regulation supports applications that require precise motor control while using the manufacturer’s established power section. The compact drive provides fieldbus connectivity and a safety function for industrial automation systems.
The drive communicates through the industrial Ethernet bus EtherCAT, allowing cycle times suitable for coordinated axis control. Its power stage is protected to IP20, so the inverter must remain inside a ventilated enclosure that prevents contact with internal components. The carrier is modulated at 8 kHz, a switching frequency that balances acoustic noise and motor-current ripple. The inverter trips at 216% of rated current to protect the power stage against severe electrical transients. For shorter overload events, the control section permits a limit of 180%, supporting rapid acceleration without causing unnecessary faults. A built-in braking transistor channels regenerated energy to an external resistor, while an internal RFI filter reduces conducted emissions and can eliminate the need for a separate line filter in many panels. Housing style B establishes the mechanical outline and terminal arrangement for cabinet mounting.
Thermal management relies on air cooling with a flat rear surface, allowing heat to flow into the mounting plate and surrounding air. Continuous operation is permitted at ambient temperatures from 5 to 40 °C, with derating required when the temperature exceeds this range. Full performance is available at installation altitudes up to 2,000 m, making the inverter suitable for most industrial facilities. The integrated safety input provides STO at 0 Hz, allowing immediate removal of motor torque without using external contactors. Overcurrent detection protects the power electronics during excessive loading, and the flat rear surface supports efficient heat transfer in compact control cabinets.
