Product Description:
The 13.G6.C3B-3910 is a variable-speed inverter manufactured by KEB as part of the G6 Combivert IO Inverters series. Designed for cabinet mounting, the device converts fixed three-phase line power into a modulated output that matches motor requirements, supporting speed and torque control in packaging, material-handling, and pumping systems. It accepts both analog and digital reference signals, allowing seamless integration with PLC outputs, fieldbus modules, or discrete I/O for automated cells.
The inverter is fed from a three-phase 400 V AC/DC supply, and the input side draws a continuous 17 A when operating at rated load. For circuit protection, a gG fuse rated at 25 A is recommended, and the overcurrent release trips at 25.9 A to protect downstream equipment. On the output side, the drive can deliver a continuous motor current of 12 A, which supports machines with motors rated up to 5.5 kW. Pulse-width modulation is produced at a default carrier frequency of 4 kHz, balancing acoustic noise against thermal stress; the carrier frequency can be increased to 8 kHz when quieter operation is needed. The housing has an IP20 / VBG4 protection rating, so the unit must be installed in a closed control panel to prevent contact with live parts.
For transient loads such as acceleration, the drive supplies 21.6 A for up to 60 seconds, providing extra torque without exceeding component limits. Under nominal conditions, the inverter provides an apparent output of 8.3 kVA, making the unit suitable for medium-frame motors used on conveyors or agitators. Internal power dissipation is 124 W, so cabinet fans or heat exchangers can be sized to remove the generated heat. Ground leakage is limited to < 5 mA, reducing the likelihood of nuisance trips when the inverter is connected to a compatible industrial residual-current device. Proper grounding and panel bonding remain necessary to provide a controlled path for leakage current and support safe operation.
