The 09.G6.FLA-YM00 is an AC inverter manufactured by KEB within the G6 Combivert IO Inverters series. It is intended to modulate three-phase supply voltage so that induction or permanent-magnet motors can be started, stopped, and speed-regulated in automated machinery. By combining power electronics with fieldbus communication, the unit serves as a decentralized drive controller that removes the need for mechanical throttling and simplifies coordinated motion in conveyors, pumps, or compact processing stations.
The control section is networked through EtherCAT, giving the drive deterministic cycle times suited for multi-axis systems. Its enclosure meets the IP20 protection class, so it is installed inside a switch cabinet where solid-object ingress is limited but no protection against water jets is provided. Thermal energy is removed by air cooling with a flat rear panel, which channels airflow across the heat sink fins without external fans. The drive can energize motors up to 1.5 kW, and its silicon devices support a continuous apparent output of 2.8 kVA. Housing designation A indicates the mechanical footprint, making the device compatible with the narrowest module width in the family while retaining full wiring space.
An integrated braking transistor diverts regenerated energy to an external resistor during rapid deceleration, preventing DC-link overvoltage. A built-in internal filter attenuates conducted emissions, allowing the cabinet to meet typical industrial EMC limits without extra line chokes. The inverter maintains rated performance at elevations up to 2000 m above sea level, and its components are rated for an ambient temperature range of 5–40 °C. The Safe Torque Off function operates at f = 0 Hz and removes gate signals from the IGBTs. This action prevents the motor from producing torque when the safety channel is active.
