Product Description:
The 07.G6.FDA-3A00 inverter is produced by KEB within the G6 Combivert IO Inverters series. This three-phase 400 V unit conditions mains power and modulates frequency so induction or synchronous motors can be speed-controlled through PLC commands. EtherCAT connectivity allows tight integration with motion controllers, while the integrated Safe Torque Off channel removes motor torque when required by machine safety systems. With an internal braking transistor, the drive can dissipate regenerated energy during rapid deceleration.
The rated apparent output power is 1.8 kVA, representing the continuous volt-ampere capacity available at the terminals. This rating corresponds to an output current of 2.6 A when the supply is a balanced 400 V three-phase system. The drive supports motors rated up to 0.75 kW under normal ambient conditions. An overcurrent cutoff threshold of 216% protects the inverter and connected motor during severe electrical faults. Its IGBTs switch at 8 kHz, keeping audible noise low while maintaining reasonable thermal losses. The housing uses an A-style enclosure with air cooling through the flat rear heat sink, and the built-in RFI filter reduces conducted emissions without requiring external filter components.
A short-term current limit of 180% permits brief torque surges without exceeding the semiconductor ratings, and the electronics are housed in an enclosure rated at IP20. Reliable operation is supported at ambient temperatures from 5 to 40 °C, provided the installation altitude does not exceed 2,000 m. Operation above this altitude requires derating because reduced air density limits heat removal. The drive accepts a three-phase 400 V AC input or a 400 V DC bus, providing flexibility for standard mains or shared-bus installations. Heated exhaust air must not be recirculated into the cooling inlet because doing so can raise the internal operating temperature. EtherCAT cabling connects to the front control interface, while spring terminals accommodate the motor and brake resistor wiring according to IEC color codes.
