The 15.F6.K12-3511 inverter drive is manufactured by KEB and belongs to the F6 Combivert Inverter Drives series. It serves as a compact power stage that converts three-phase plant power into a variable-voltage, variable-frequency output, enabling precise motor speed control in automated conveyors, pumps, and packaging equipment. Communication and feedback are handled by the multi-encoder, CAN, STO, and EtherCAT interface configuration. These interfaces allow the drive to exchange operating commands, status information, and encoder signals with compatible control systems.
The drive connects to a three-phase supply rated at 400 V, or 480 V under UL requirements, and accepts an input range of 280 to 550 V. A DC-link voltage of 565 V supports energy storage and dynamic motor response. A built-in braking transistor shunts excess regenerative energy and permits a maximum braking current of 2 A. The switching devices operate at a rated frequency of 4 kHz, balancing audible noise with thermal loading. The control interface provides eight digital inputs, two control-word inputs, four digital outputs, three analog inputs, four virtual inputs, and one relay output for exchanging commands and feedback with PLCs. The accepted mains frequency is 50 or 60 Hz with a tolerance of ±2%.
Cooling is provided by an air cooler, and the size 2 housing is supplied as a mounted version with the COMPACT control type. The Type 1 safety module provides safe torque off through two STO inputs. The programmable software current limit is 150%, while the hardware turn-off current is 180%. The enclosure has an IP20 protection rating and is intended for installation where contact with internal electrical parts is restricted. Its standard operating temperature range is 5 to 40 °C, with an extended range from -10 to 45 °C. The drive withstands 5% to 85% relative humidity without condensation. Storage is permitted at temperatures as low as -25 °C, while transportation is permitted at temperatures as low as -70 °C. Installation is permitted at altitudes up to 2,000 m above sea level.
