The 00.F6.000-CMAT is an interface module produced by KEB for the F6 Combivert Inverter Drives series. Mounted on the control side of an F6 drive, it adds mixed-signal inputs, safety switching, and brake control so the inverter can coordinate field devices directly from the cabinet. Within an automated cell, this arrangement removes the need for separate PLC I/O cards and allows the drive to monitor sensors, energize actuators, and process encoder feedback within the same control system.

The board is powered from a dedicated control rail of 24 V DC, and its internal logic draws a steady 0.5 A. A protected auxiliary port can supply up to 100 mA at 24 V to small field transducers. The module has eight digital input channels that accept 24 V status signals and four sourcing outputs that transmit commands to connected devices. Each digital output can supply 100 mA to contactors or indicators. A separate brake driver delivers up to 2 A for releasing spring-applied motor brakes during operation. Two differential analog inputs and one analog output handle process variables such as setpoints and feedback signals, allowing the inverter to interact with proportional valves or tension controls without external converters.

Two incremental or absolute encoder interfaces support motion-control tasks, and the sensor rail can provide up to 500 mA to connected encoders. If an auxiliary 24 V source is connected, the module can draw up to 4.8 A through that path to keep safety circuits active during mains outages. The output signal switching device maintains a pulse width of 1.5 ms at 24 V for fault-tolerant monitoring of the gate drivers. A form C relay rated for 30 V DC can switch external safety contactors. The safe torque off function engages after an activation delay of 7 ms.
