Designed for installation between the incoming line supply and an asynchronous motor, it synthesizes variable voltage and frequency so motion sequences can be tailored to process demands without mechanical gear changes. Control terminals for a motor winding thermometer, marked OH and OH, allow the drive to monitor motor temperature and intervene before thermal limits are exceeded. Because the output frequency follows the commanded operating point, the inverter can adapt motor speed to changing load conditions without mechanical intervention.
The drive is dimensioned for motors up to 1.5 kW, while its converter stage can deliver an output apparent power of 2.8 kVA at rated conditions. A supply-side protection device no larger than 10 A is specified, so coordination with upstream circuit breakers remains simple.
