Product Description:
The 05-F4.S0C-1220 is a frequency inverter produced by KEB and assigned to the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. In a control panel, this unit modulates single-phase mains power into a three-phase output so that induction or synchronous motors can follow precisely commanded speeds and torques. By converting fixed line voltage into variable magnitude and frequency, it supports conveyor sections, small pumps, and general-purpose machinery that require flexible speed regulation within compact electrical enclosures. Its footprint and integral protection features simplify integration into existing automation equipment, especially where cabinet space is limited and controlled motor ramping is needed for stable operation.
The inverter accepts a supply of single-phase 230 V AC at 50/60 Hz and stays functional whenever the mains fluctuates between 180 to 264 V AC. An internal rectifier and DC link reshape this input, and the IGBT bridge then pulses power toward the motor at a carrier frequency of 8 kHz; this switching rate balances acoustic noise and semiconductor heating. The drive provides an output frequency range of 0 to 409.58 Hz, allowing operation from standstill to elevated motor speeds where the application permits. Continuous load is supported with 2.3 A of phase current, yielding an apparent output of 0.9 kVA. These operating limits help determine suitable motor matching and support stable inverter performance during normal duty.
The housing meets the IP20 protection class, so the module must be installed inside a clean cabinet while ventilation paths remain unobstructed. During operation, the electronics dissipate 35 W, and this heat can be removed by convection as long as ambient temperature remains within -10 to 45 °C. A 90 mm width, 115 mm depth, and 230 mm height allow tight side-by-side mounting, while storage from -25 °C to 70 °C helps protect internal components when the unit is not powered. Top-mounted screw terminals keep power and control wiring accessible from above, which can simplify panel layout when cables enter from upper ducting or are routed through narrow vertical channels.
