The 15.F1.R30-4A29 is an AC frequency converter produced by KEB for the F1 Combivert Frequency Converters series. It converts three-phase mains power into a variable-frequency, variable-voltage output so industrial controllers can match motor speed and torque to process requirements. By combining control electronics with power semiconductors, the unit forms the electrical interface between plant supply networks and driven machines such as conveyors, pumps, and mixers in automated production lines. The adjustable output allows connected motors to operate at speeds suited to changing process demands without relying on mechanical speed-control devices.
The converter delivers a continuous apparent power of 17.0 kVA and a corresponding output current of 24.0 A, matching motors up to 11.0 kW. It accepts a three-phase input and may be protected with a supply fuse rated at 35 A. Pulse-width modulation occurs at carrier frequencies selectable up to 16 kHz, so acoustic noise and torque ripple can be adjusted for the load. An integrated braking transistor dissipates regenerated energy without requiring an external chopper. An integrated interference filter limits conducted emissions toward the mains.
