The 33.E6.T60-3150 is a three-phase electromagnetic compatibility filter developed by KEB for the Combiline EMC Filters series. Installed ahead of a drive or power supply, the unit attenuates conducted noise and limits high-frequency emissions so equipment can meet regional interference limits. Within an automation panel, it occupies the network side of the inverter and protects fieldbus, sensor, and safety circuits from switching transients produced by high-current motor drives. By targeting both differential-mode and common-mode interference, the filter improves power quality and reduces electrical stress on insulation systems.
The filter carries a rated input current of 840 A, making it suitable for inverter cabinets that draw hundreds of kilowatts. It is designed for 400 V three-phase lines and accepts a frequency of 50/60 Hz with a tolerance of ±2 Hz. The filter supports TN, TT, and IT grounding systems without requiring wiring changes. Under continuous load, the assembly dissipates 110 W of heat, so the enclosure must provide adequate airflow or external heat sinking. Mechanical fastening uses M12 bolts tightened to 50 Nm, while the open IP00 housing permits direct busbar connections. The design meets Overvoltage Category III clearance requirements for industrial switchboards.
When protected by a Class L fuse, the assembly supports a continuous fuse rating of 900 A and a short-circuit current rating of 42 kA. Its dielectric spacing withstands 550 V for one minute once per hour, providing protection against temporary line voltage increases in regenerative applications. During temporary overloads, the magnetic circuit can conduct 150% of the nominal current for 60 seconds without exceeding its thermal limit. UL recognition includes a current rating of 726 A and a voltage range of 480/277 V, allowing the filter to operate in compatible North American control cabinets. Three supply phases pass through low-inductance busbars to minimize insertion impedance and maintain stable current flow through the filter.
