Product Description:
The 27.E4.T60-1001 electromagnetic compatibility filter is built by KEB as part of the Combiline EMC Filters series. Intended for three-phase plus protective-earth installations, it is placed on the mains side of an inverter to suppress conducted interference and meet emission category C1 requirements near control cabinets and other sensitive electronic equipment. The filter can be paired with motor cables up to 30 m without exceeding allowable noise levels in industrial automation lines, helping it fit enclosed drive systems with limited space.
Its electrical rating allows continuous conduction of up to 330 A, so the device matches high-power drives without becoming a current bottleneck. The maximum permissible line voltage is 528 V AC, aligning with the upper limit of 480 V supply grids plus normal tolerance. Direct-current resistance is only 0.42 mΩ/phase, which helps limit voltage drop and additional copper losses through the filter at high current. During operation the unit leaks no more than 60 mA to protective earth, a value that helps when protective devices are selected for the installation. A dielectric-strength verification of 2700 Vdc between phase conductors and PE shows the insulation margin used to withstand voltage surges. Under nominal load its internal elements dissipate about 75 W, so cabinet airflow must remove this heat during operation.
Ambient temperature limits and conductor size affect how the filter is arranged inside the cabinet. The filter may be operated in ambient temperatures up to 45 °C without derating. To manage the generated heat, conductors with a cross-section of 95 mm² are connected to the clamp terminals, providing adequate current-carrying capacity and low contact resistance. The steel housing measures 240 mm deep, 110 mm wide, and 630 mm high, allowing it to fit vertically on standard panel backplates with room for cable entry above and below. Despite its compact footprint the assembly weighs 18 kg, so fixed brackets or support shelves are suggested during installation to avoid strain on enclosure doors.
