Product Description:

The 24.E6.T60-5150 electromagnetic interference filter is produced by KEB within the Combiline EMC Filters series. This three-phase line component is installed upstream of variable-speed drives or power inverters to attenuate conducted noise and prevent switching harmonics from feeding back into the plant supply. By inserting the filter between the utility mains and sensitive automation hardware, integrators can maintain compliance with industrial EMC limits and protect adjacent equipment from high-frequency disturbances. It is intended for cabinet mounting in machine tools, conveyors, and process lines where inverter switching currents could contaminate the supply.

The filter has a rated AC line voltage of 400 V and can operate across an input range of 0 to 528 V without derating. It accepts utility supplies at 50/60 Hz ±2 Hz, allowing use on standard European or North American grids. During continuous operation, the network-side current may reach 189 A, and the open-frame IP00 housing promotes cabinet airflow to support heat dissipation. The filter connects to three mains phases configured in TN, TT, or IT distribution systems. KEB recommends a 250 A IEC gG fuse for European installations. North American installations use a Class J 200 A fuse matched to a UL-rated current of 162 A at 480/277 V.

During transient events, the filter tolerates an overload of 150% for 60 seconds without exceeding its thermal limits. Its capacitors can withstand a momentary line voltage peak of up to 550 V. Internal core losses and resistor damping produce a steady power dissipation of 325 W, and the surrounding enclosure ventilation must remove this heat. The housing measures 269 mm wide and 180 mm deep, with a vertical height of 630 mm. Adequate space must be reserved above and below the terminals to accommodate cable bend radii and maintain unobstructed airflow.
