The 22.E4.T60-3A01 is a three-phase line filter module produced by KEB and offered within the Combiline EMC Filters series. Installed between the mains supply and an inverter, the unit attenuates conducted electromagnetic interference so neighboring equipment can meet industrial emission and immunity limits. By presenting a low-impedance path for high-frequency noise while maintaining negligible voltage drop at power frequency, it supports stable operation of drives, servo systems, and other automation loads.
Electrically, the filter carries a continuous load current of 130 A and accepts a line voltage up to 3 × 480 V (+5%), matching common North American and international drive cabinets. The differential network is tuned for a supply fundamental of 50/60 ± 2 Hz, so attenuation does not affect the fundamental waveform. Under these conditions, internal losses are limited to 20 W, derived mainly from a copper path resistance of 0.001 Ω per phase. Low resistance keeps temperature rise modest while maximizing drive efficiency. The construction supports a three-phase connection with protective earth, and power conductors terminate on AWG 1/0 (50 mm²) screw terminals to accommodate the stated current.
Leakage characteristics are important because the filter includes Y-capacitors referenced to earth. In normal operation, the current to ground is 30 mA at 50 Hz, and it may reach 150 mA phase-to-PE when line voltage is at its maximum tolerance, values that must be considered when sizing ground-fault devices. Dielectric strength is verified by a high-voltage test of 2700 Vdc for 2 s between phase and earth and 2100 Vdc between phases, confirming insulation margins for inverter switching spikes. The unit can operate in ambient air up to 45 °C; above that temperature, derating is required to protect the 6 kg assembly from excessive thermal stress.
