The 20.E6.T60-7B00 is an EMC filter produced by KEB within the Combiline EMC Filters series. Designed for installation between a drive and the mains, the unit suppresses conducted radio-frequency interference and limits differential-mode and common-mode noise that could otherwise propagate through industrial power networks. It is intended for DC-link filtering on high-power inverters, helping protect adjacent automation equipment and allowing installations to meet electromagnetic compatibility requirements. The filter’s placement in the power circuit reduces unwanted electrical noise before it reaches other connected devices.
The filter handles a rated current of 100 A, so its copper windings and terminals are sized for continuous operation at that load. The DC bus may operate at a rated input voltage of 565 V, while the insulation system permits a maximum input voltage of 840 V. Each conductor path has a DC resistance of only 0.003 Ω per phase, minimizing voltage drop and heat generation at full load. To accommodate large inverter cables, the terminals accept conductors with a cross-sectional area of 50 mm². The enclosure has an IP20 protection rating, making live parts finger-safe when the unit is properly installed inside a cabinet. Adequate spacing around the terminals helps maintain safe cable routing and supports natural airflow through the installation area.
During brief overloads, the magnetic core and windings can withstand 150% of the rated current for a limited period without exceeding their thermal limits. Under continuous operating conditions, the filter dissipates approximately 40 W, and this heat must be removed through natural convection when ambient temperatures reach 45 °C. The steel housing, terminals, and resin potting give the unit a total weight of 4.3 kg, allowing panel installation without additional support brackets. The circuit contains two DC conductors and a protective earth connection, while a dedicated M8 ground stud connects the earth plates to the cabinet backplane. The insulation can withstand 2772 V for two seconds, and the typical leakage current is 3 mA under rated line conditions. Secure grounding and sufficient cabinet ventilation are necessary to support the filter’s electrical and thermal performance during operation.
