The 20.E6.T60-3100 electromagnetic compatibility filter is manufactured by KEB within the Combiline EMC Filters series. Installed between a motor inverter and the facility power supply, the unit suppresses differential-mode and common-mode noise that would otherwise propagate along power lines. By attenuating high-frequency switching harmonics, it protects upstream circuit breakers and nearby low-level signal circuits, helping automated machinery comply with installation guidelines for sensitive industrial and commercial environments. The filter is intended for side mounting next to an F6 drive so cabinet space can be used efficiently.
Rated for a three-phase network, the filter operates continuously at 400 V and accepts supply frequencies of 50/60 Hz ±2 Hz. A maximum continuous line current of 82 A passes through its inductive stages before thermal limits are reached. The design restricts ground leakage current to 2.02 mA, reducing the risk of nuisance tripping in residual-current devices. By meeting EMC limit class C1, the filter enables drives to be used in equipment located inside offices or laboratories without exceeding applicable emission limits. The module fits F6 inverter housings 3 or 4, attaches to the panel with a side-mount bracket, and adds 8.35 kg to the enclosure mass.
The filter withstands short operating peaks because its components tolerate an overload of 150% for 60 seconds, allowing drives to accelerate heavy loads without immediate derating. Upstream protection must use a fuse rated no higher than 100 A. With that fuse installed, the assembly can withstand fault currents of up to 30 kA until the fuse clears the circuit. It supports motor cable runs as long as 500 m while maintaining acceptable common-mode voltage at the machine terminals. Under nominal operating conditions, the internal components release 110 W of heat, which cabinet airflow should remove to preserve component life.
