Product Description:
The 18.E5.T60-1001 is a three-phase electromagnetic compatibility filter manufactured by KEB and supplied within the Combiline EMC Filters series. Placed between the mains supply and a frequency inverter or servo drive, it suppresses high-frequency conducted noise so automated equipment meets emission limits and avoids interference with sensors or communication lines. Its compact metal housing can be fastened directly to a control cabinet backplane, reducing wiring lengths and simplifying panel layout for general industrial automation.
The filter serves three-phase systems with protective earth and carries a continuous current rating of 65 A, matching the input side of medium-power drives. It accepts up to 3 × 480 V (+5 %), covering standard 460 V networks. A DC resistance of only 0.003 Ω per phase adds negligible copper loss to the line. Compliance with Class B EMC limits shows that its attenuation network meets stringent industrial emission requirements. Common-mode leakage to ground is limited to 30 mA, while a single-phase test yields 118 mA, figures that guide ground-fault protection selection. Dielectric integrity is verified by a 2700 VDC, 2-second phase-to-earth test and an 800 VDC, 2-second phase-to-phase test, confirming adequate insulation distances. Physically, the unit occupies 181 mm in width and 64.5 mm in depth, letting it fit beside contactors and breakers on standard mounting plates.
Power dissipation is limited to 20 W, so adequate airflow is needed when enclosures reach the maximum ambient temperature of 45 °C. Line and load conductors up to AWG 4 / 25 mm² clamp under the screw terminals, helping maintain low-impedance connections for surge currents. With a mass of 5.1 kg, the filter requires firm mechanical support and secure mounting inside the cabinet. This mounting arrangement helps the unit remain stable during normal machine vibration and continuous operation.
