Product Description:
The 17.E4.T60-3A01 is an HF line filter produced by KEB within the Combiline EMC Filters series. It is intended for three-phase drive systems that omit a neutral conductor, and its task in industrial automation is to attenuate high-frequency noise returning from inverters to the mains. By incorporating this component ahead of a variable-frequency drive or servo amplifier, the installation can keep conducted emissions below limits set for factory environments and protect nearby control electronics from interference.
This model is dimensioned for a continuous line current of 50 A at a line potential of 460 V. Incoming and outgoing cables are landed on terminals sized for a cross-section of 10 mm², which matches the permissible ampacity of the filter’s internal conductors. A leakage current of 30 mA flows through the protective earth during normal operation, so ground-fault monitoring must be coordinated with this value. Core and winding losses amount to 20 W, so enclosure ventilation must carry away that heat load to keep the filter below its temperature rating. The housing occupies only 70 mm of panel width, allowing it to sit beside contactors or circuit breakers without exceeding standard enclosure rail spacing.
At an overall height of 330 mm and a depth of 180 mm, the filter fits inside most 400 mm-deep switch cabinets and still provides clearance for bent power cables. The mass of 3.2 kg provides adequate mechanical rigidity for busbar mounting without adding excessive load to the panel. Compliance with Class A limits under EN 55011 is achieved by the internal winding topology and magnetic core arrangement, meeting typical machinery EMC requirements. Because the electrical connection scheme is three-phase without a neutral, the filter can be inserted directly between a mains disconnect and the input of an inverter without altering the plant grounding strategy.
