Product Description:
The 16.E5.T60-A0F1 electromagnetic compatibility filter is produced by KEB within the Combiline EMC Filters series. Intended for three-phase drive installations, the component is connected between an inverter and the plant mains to attenuate conducted emissions and protect sensitive equipment on the supply network. By matching the impedance of IT distribution grids, the filter helps inverter-fed motors comply with noise limits in industrial automation cells and supports reliable operation of programmable controllers, sensors, and communication buses positioned on the same power system.
The filter is designed for supplies rated at 400/480 V AC, and its internal conductors carry a continuous 43 A without derating. Operation is synchronized with networks running at 50/60 Hz, with a tolerance of ±10%, so it can be wired worldwide with minimal retuning. During normal service the housing bleeds only 8 mA to protective earth, an important figure when several filters share the same residual-current device. Conducted interference is limited to the stringent C1 suppression class, making the unit suitable near measurement equipment. It accepts three input phases, matches IT mains topology, and mounts on footprint E, allowing straightforward placement beside braking resistors and reactors inside a drive cabinet.
To complement the electrical limits above, the filter withstands transients up to 528 V, ensuring margin above nominal line swings produced by regenerative drives. Dissipation is limited to 30 W, so enclosure airflow can be calculated easily. A compact envelope of 50 mm depth, 132 mm width, and 352 mm height frees panel space while still accommodating the 10 mm² terminals required for the specified wire size. The assembly weighs 2.5 kg, so standard DIN rail clips or panel screws can support it without additional bracing, and the design permits motor-cable lengths up to 10 m between drive and machine.
