Internal Product Review
The 16.E4.T60-1061 is a KEB Combiline EMC filter engineered for 3-phase AC networks at 460 VAC. EMC Level B performance and a 50 A current rating make the filter especially well suited for industrial drive installations with strict line conditioning demands. Low 14 W power loss supports efficient operation, making the filter a well-balanced choice for dependable EMC compliance.

Product Description:
The 16.E4.T60-1061 electromagnetic compatibility filter is produced by KEB within the Combiline EMC Filters series. This power-line device is installed between the AC supply and frequency inverters or servo drives to suppress conducted interference and keep emitted noise within regulated limits for industrial automation cells. By attenuating high-frequency disturbances, the filter helps nearby control electronics meet plant electromagnetic requirements and reduces disruption to sensitive sensors or communication links caused by drive-side switching events. That role is especially useful when a drive shares cabinet space with low-voltage I/O, encoders, or networked control hardware.
The filter is intended for a nominal supply voltage of 460 VAC and carries up to 50 A of continuous load current without saturating its inductive elements. It accepts a three-phase AC input, so the internal network treats each line symmetrically and maintains balanced attenuation across the phases. Compliance with EMC Level B indicates attenuation suitable for stricter limits in mixed-use or residential areas where machinery may operate near office equipment. During normal operation, the housing leaks only 11 mA to protective earth, which helps limit nuisance trips in properly grounded installations and keeps leakage current relatively low for this type of filter.
Physical integration is simplified by overall dimensions of 181 × 415 × 56 mm, allowing the housing to mount flat inside a control cabinet while leaving ventilation clearance. The copper terminals accommodate conductors up to 10 mm², and the cable run between the drive and filter should remain below 10 m to reduce re-radiation of switching noise. At full electrical rating, the filter dissipates only 14 W, so forced-air cooling is usually unnecessary during normal cabinet operation. Its mass of 3.2 kg permits DIN rail or panel mounting without adding substantial mechanical load to the enclosure structure.
