Product Description:
The 15.E5.T60-A071 is an electromagnetic compatibility filter produced by KEB for its Combiline EMC Filters series. Installed between an inverter and an induction motor, the unit attenuates conducted emissions so that variable-speed drives can meet stringent C1 interference limits on factory power networks. By limiting common-mode noise, it helps automation equipment operate within radio-frequency guidelines and reduces electromagnetic coupling to nearby signal lines.
The filter has a rated input current of 30 A and dissipates only 21 W of power, keeping the enclosure temperature rise moderate during continuous operation. A voltage drop of 26 V occurs across the filter at nominal load, and this drop should be considered when sizing the upstream drive. Leakage current is limited to 80 mA, allowing use on supplies protected by suitable residual-current devices. The assembly carries a protection rating of IP20, indicating that its terminals are finger-safe when the unit is installed in a cabinet. Feed-through terminal blocks accept conductors up to 10 mm². A tightening torque of 1.8 Nm secures the wiring against vibration.
The output stage supplies 24 A to motors rated up to 11 kW while supporting carrier switching frequencies as high as 4 kHz without derating. It passes sinusoidal content at frequencies up to 400 Hz and withstands a voltage slope of 500 V/µs, so fast-rising inverter pulses remain within its insulation limits. The motor can be located as far as 50 m from the drive without additional output reactors, supporting distributed machine layouts. Compliance with climatic class 3K3 permits installation in control rooms with temperatures from 5 to 40 °C and relative humidity from 5% to 85%. Interference grade C1 makes the device suitable for use on public low-voltage networks. Its mass is limited to 6.5 kg, which reduces the structural support needed for panel installation.
