Product Description:
The 15.E5.T60-10F1 is an electromagnetic compatibility filter produced by KEB within the Combiline EMC Filters series. Positioned between an inverter and a three-phase motor, it suppresses common-mode and differential-mode interference and smooths the drive switching waveform so that downstream equipment can meet industrial EMC limits. By controlling cable-borne emissions and dV/dt, the device helps protect motor insulation and feedback devices. It is commonly used where pulse-width-modulated drives operate near sensitive control wiring or where long motor leads can increase electrical noise.
The filter is rated for an input current of 30 A and delivers an output current of 24 A, matching typical inverter-fed machines up to 11 kW. During operation, the series inductors and capacitors add a voltage drop of 26 V and dissipate only 21 W, so additional panel cooling requirements remain low. Its capacitive network draws a leakage current of 80 mA, which should be considered when sizing the protective earth conductor. The open-frame housing has an IP20 protection rating, allowing mounting inside a switchgear enclosure while keeping access to the terminal screws tightened to 1.8 Nm. The design also meets climatic category 3K3 and maintains its intended performance at ambient temperatures up to 45 °C.
The unit supports a maximum motor cable length of 50 m, along with a switching frequency limit of 4 kHz and a permitted voltage rise rate of 500 V/µs. It passes carrier frequencies up to 400 Hz, so the connected drive can maintain the intended motor speed range without unnecessary output restriction. With a weight of 6.5 kg, the filter can be mounted directly on DIN rail supports or panel plates, and the specified terminal torque helps keep conductors secure under vibration. Following these operating limits helps the filter reduce edge-related stress on the motor cable and connected insulation system during normal drive operation.
