The 14.F4.E50-4200 electromagnetic compatibility filter is produced by KEB and belongs to the Combiline EMC Filters series. Installed between a drive inverter and the supply network, the device attenuates conducted interference so that surrounding automation equipment can meet emission limits required in factory environments. This helps reduce electrical noise on nearby controls, communication lines, and other sensitive cabinet electronics. Its construction supports cabinet mounting close to power modules, and the internal resistor network drains residual energy after shutdown to prevent unwanted voltage on motor and sensor wiring.
Physically, the filter is 30 mm high, 130 mm wide, and 290 mm long, allowing it to fit inside shallow control enclosures without blocking airflow around neighboring components. A mass of 1.3 kg permits DIN-rail or baseplate installation without reinforcing the panel. The enclosure uses Housing E, which is a metal case that shields the wound elements from stray magnetic fields. Its internal resistor network has a characteristic impedance of 60 Ω, which helps damp differential-mode oscillations across the operating spectrum.
