By lowering radio-frequency noise on the drive output, it helps maintain reliable encoder feedback, network communication, and sensor accuracy in industrial automation lines. It is typically used where variable-frequency drives share a cabinet with communication and measurement devices that are sensitive to high-frequency switching noise. This placement also helps reduce interference that might otherwise couple into adjacent motor and feedback wiring.
