The 13.AF.506-3585 electromagnetic compatibility filter is produced by KEB and supplied within the Combiline EMC Filters series. Installed between the incoming power line and a pulse-width-modulated motor drive, the filter suppresses differential-mode and common-mode noise generated by fast-switching transistors. By reducing high-frequency interference, it helps protect sensors, PLC I/O, and other sensitive equipment while supporting compliance with industrial emissions limits. The filter is suitable for motor-drive installations where conducted electrical noise could interfere with nearby control and communication circuits.
The unit is designed for 460 V AC distribution systems and connects to a three-phase source through a screw terminal block. Its windings and capacitors can conduct up to 12 A of continuous current without excessive temperature rise. The filter supports semiconductor switching frequencies of 12 kHz or higher while limiting high-frequency interference that could travel toward the incoming power supply. It can also be used with connected inverters that operate motors at frequencies up to 600 Hz. Internal inductive components keep leakage inductance within acceptable limits, reducing the risk of excessive voltage drop during full-load operation. The screw-terminal connection provides a secure electrical interface for the line and drive conductors.
