Product Description:
The 10.E5.T60-A071 is an EMC line filter produced by KEB and supplied within the Combiline EMC Filters series. Installed between a drive and the public mains, the unit suppresses conducted radio-frequency noise and limits voltage spikes that could disturb surrounding equipment. By matching the impedance of the drive system and providing a defined leakage path, the filter helps meet electromagnetic compatibility requirements while protecting the connected 2.2 kW motor and its control electronics.
This filter accepts a single-phase supply of 1 x 240 VAC +10% and can carry up to 20 A on its line side. The load side is limited to 10 A, so the downstream drive must be sized accordingly. A leakage current of 23 mA flows through the internal capacitors, a value that requires a solid protective-earth connection to prevent touch voltage. Interference grade C1 provides attenuation suitable for residential and light-industrial environments, and the mains frequency window of 50/60 Hz ±2 supports compatibility with common utility grids. The enclosure is rated IP20, which means it has finger-safe openings but no protection against liquids, so the filter is intended for mounting inside a cabinet. Internal impedance causes a 16 V voltage drop and about 20 W of power loss, both of which must be considered in thermal planning.
Climatic category 3K3 allows continuous operation up to 45 °C without derating. On the drive side, the filter accommodates carrier switching up to 16 kHz and an output frequency of 1600 Hz, making it suitable for high-speed spindle or servo applications. Its construction limits the voltage slew rate to 500 V/µs, reducing stress on motor insulation. With a mass of 1.3 kg, the device adds minimal weight to a control panel while still providing the required attenuation and safety margins.
