The 10.E5.T60-0002 is a single-phase electromagnetic compatibility filter produced by KEB within the Combiline EMC Filters series. Used on the line side of frequency inverters and servo drives, it suppresses differential and common-mode noise to keep industrial automation equipment within statutory emission limits. It is installed between the mains supply and the drive to reduce interference returning to the power line.
The filter accepts an input voltage of 1 x 240 VAC (+10%) through its single-phase and protective ground terminals, matching domestic and light industrial mains. A continuous line current rating of 22 A is the maximum load the internal inductors and capacitors can process without thermal derating. Wiring uses copper leads up to 4 mm², and this cross-section keeps conductor heating low at the stated current. The total series path presents only 0.015 Ω of DC resistance, minimizing voltage drop between the supply and drive. While operating, reactive components dissipate up to 20 W as heat, so cabinet airflow must remove that loss. Under nominal conditions, the device returns just 12 mA of leakage current to ground, allowing sensitive residual-current devices to remain in service.
Compliance with the stringent Class B emission category allows the filter to be installed in office-adjacent machinery without additional shielding. Cable runs up to 30 m between the drive and motor remain within conducted noise limits because the filter attenuates high-frequency energy. Dielectric strength has been verified at 2700 V between phase and protective ground and 350 VDC between live conductors for 2 s, demonstrating insulation integrity during surge events. Even at the maximum ambient temperature of 45 °C, the device keeps leakage below the specified peak of 23 mA, preventing unwanted ground-fault trips. The housing weighs 0.9 kg, which facilitates direct mounting on DIN rails or backplates without heavy support.
