The 10.E5.T60-M071 is an electromagnetic compatibility filter produced by KEB within the Combiline EMC Filters series. Installed between an inverter and its connected motor, the unit attenuates conducted emissions and limits voltage steepness so nearby sensors, PLC I/O, and communication lines remain within acceptable noise tolerances. In an automation cabinet, the filter supplements the drive’s internal suppression components, helping installations meet industrial radio interference limits on single-phase supplies rated up to 240 V.

It accepts a single-phase supply of 1 x 240 VAC (+10%) and is dimensioned for an input draw of 20 A, matching inverters that feed motors up to 2.2 kW. During operation, the filter introduces a voltage drop of only 16 V, while its earth leakage is limited to 23 mA, keeping the assembly compatible with common residual-current devices. Internal conductors support a continuous 10 A output and tolerate voltage slopes of 500 V/µs, so a motor cable up to 50 m at 8 kHz switching sees reduced dv/dt stress. Thermal performance is sustained at ambient temperatures up to 45 °C, and the attenuation curve extends to a maximum output frequency of 1600 Hz, which is suitable for high-speed spindle or servo duty.

The filter is tuned for carrier frequencies up to 16 kHz, allowing it to pair with modern drives that use elevated switching to lower acoustic noise. Installation is straightforward: terminals accept conductors up to 4 mm² that are stripped to 10 mm, and the device weighs 1.3 kg for mounting on a DIN rail or backplate. Heat generation is modest; only 20 W of power is dissipated under full load, which is manageable with standard cabinet airflow. An enclosure rating of IP20 shields live parts from accidental contact while permitting the convection needed around the wound cores.
