Product Description:
The 10.E5.T60-A072 electromagnetic compatibility filter is produced by KEB for the Combiline EMC Filters series. It is installed on the line side of compact frequency inverters to suppress conducted disturbances and limit the transfer of switching noise back to the plant power supply. By connecting the filter between a single-phase mains supply and an adjustable-speed drive, the installation can meet conducted-emission limits without changes to the motor cabling.
This filter is designed for a single-phase network with a nominal input of 240 VAC, and it can carry a continuous line current of 20 A. Under those conditions, it dissipates 20 W as heat, while the internal components introduce a voltage drop of 16 V between the power source and inverter. Current flowing toward protective earth remains limited to 23 mA, supporting compliance with applicable leakage-current requirements. Installation is aided by terminals with a 10 mm strip length that accept solid or stranded conductors. Immunity performance is graded according to EN 61800-3 category C1, so the filter supports equipment intended for residential or commercial environments. A 3K3 climatic category permits operation in clean, lightly heated control cabinets with moderate humidity.
The filter is compatible with modern drives that switch at frequencies up to 16 kHz and generate voltage edges reaching 500 V/µs. It supports carrier modulation while limiting conducted interference at drive output frequencies up to 1600 Hz. Within this operating range, the connected drive can provide 10 A to motors rated at 2.2 kW. The enclosure has an ingress protection rating of IP20, so it prevents finger contact with internal components but requires a closed cabinet for protection from dust and moisture. The assembly weighs 1.3 kg, which reduces panel load and makes DIN-rail or backplate mounting practical in densely populated automation cabinets. Its compact mounting arrangement also helps preserve space around the inverter and adjacent control components while allowing access to the wiring terminals.
