The 07.09.440 is an electromagnetic clutch-brake unit produced by KEB as part of its Combibox Clutch Brakes series. Designed for inline mounting between a motor and a driven mechanism, the module provides rapid coupling for motion and immediate braking for controlled stops in automated machinery. Integrating both functions into one housing simplifies installation and synchronizes torque transfer. The unit is suitable for conveyors, packaging equipment, and positioning axes that require frequent start-stop cycles.
The clutch transmits up to 15 Nm of torque, making it suitable for medium-duty drive lines in equipment such as small indexing tables. Its coil draws 20 W, allowing operation with a low-power control supply. Engagement reaches full torque in 95 ms, supporting machinery with short operating cycles. Continuous thermal loading is limited to 114 J/s; remaining below this value helps prevent lining glazing and premature wear. The maximum rotational speed is 3000 rpm, allowing direct connection to compatible motor shafts without additional speed reduction. The output uses a B5 (1) flange format. The unit has no input flange or mounting feet, so its frame bolts directly to adjacent components.
