In automated packaging lines, indexers, or small presses, the device sits between the motor and driven shaft to provide rapid acceleration, deceleration, and static holding without additional hydraulics or mechanical latch mechanisms.
The clutch section is rated for a shaft speed of 3000 rpm and can deliver up to 7 Nm when its coil is energized. Electrical control requires a 24 V DC supply, which allows direct switching from low-voltage machine controllers. Proper response time depends on a working clearance of 0.2 mm between the friction faces, and this gap must be verified during installation. Torque enters through a bore input hub and exits through the shaft output, matching common motor and gearbox interfaces. Dynamic heat is managed by a clutch heat dissipation rate of 81 J/s, while the brake side dissipates 59 J/s.
