Product Description:
The 06.10.370-0000 is an electromagnetic clutch-brake assembly produced by KEB for the Combibox Clutch Brakes series. In automated machines, it couples and decouples rotating shafts while also stopping motion, allowing a motion controller to index loads accurately without additional gearing or hydraulics. The unit integrates the clutch and brake sections in one housing, simplifying mounting on packaging lines, conveyors, or positioning tables that require fast, repeatable start-stop cycles.
The clutch and brake sections each provide a torque capacity of 7 Nm, and the rotor can operate at speeds up to 3,000 rpm without exceeding the friction limits. Engaging the clutch coil requires 15 W, while the brake coil requires 12 W. A rated air gap of 0.2 mm supports consistent magnetic engagement, and a separate readjustment clearance of 0.4 mm accommodates friction-surface wear. The clutch can absorb 9.5 × 106 J of work before the friction surfaces reach 0.1 mm of wear. Dynamic response is supported by a rotor inertia of 1.07 × 10-4 kg·m² and an armature inertia of 0.84 × 10-4 kg·m², helping keep acceleration times short in indexing applications.
Thermal loading during repeated operation is limited to 1.9 × 10³ J per engagement. The clutch side can dissipate 81 J/s continuously, while the brake side can dissipate 59 J/s continuously. Steel mounting feet are included, allowing the assembly to be bolted directly to a machine frame without additional brackets. The assembly has a mass of 2.8 kg, making it suitable for installation with compact motor and machine-shaft arrangements. Its integrated housing reduces the number of separate components needed for coupling, decoupling, and stopping a driven load. The specified inertias support responsive operation when the assembly is used for frequent indexing cycles.
