Product Description:
The 06.10.370-211U is a dry-running electromagnetic clutch-brake unit supplied by KEB within the Combibox Clutch Brakes series. It is installed between a motor and a driven section so that PLC or relay commands can couple torque, hold position, or release motion in a single compact housing. By combining both functions, the device streamlines indexing tasks in automated presses, packaging stations, and material-handling equipment while keeping shaft alignment compatible with standard drivetrains.
The control circuit accepts a bridge-rectified supply of 110 VAC. A rectifier inside the enclosure converts this input to a coil voltage of 95 VDC for reliable magnet pull-in. When only single-phase power is available, a half-wave supply of 220 VAC can be used instead, although the response time is slightly longer because the average coil current is lower. A panel or field interlock can energize the unit through contacts rated at 250 VDC/10 A, which accommodates the coil’s inrush demand and helps prevent contact welding. The reference rotational limit is 1500 rpm, which is the maximum input speed at which the friction surfaces can engage without exceeding heat dissipation limits. This speed rating allows direct coupling to four-pole induction motors used in typical conveyor lines.
The allowable working air gap may increase to three times its nominal value before adjustment is required, providing a clear wear indicator during scheduled inspections. The expected service duration is 10,000 h, which allows service planning to be coordinated with routine gearbox lubrication. Frame attachments use NEMA or IEC hole patterns, permitting direct mounting on either North American or metric motor flanges. The mounting arrangement supports integration with motors built to either regional standard without requiring a separate flange adapter.
