The VLT 6000 series of adjustable frequency drives is a fine example of Danish brilliance.

Model number VLT6000H34 by Danfoss Group belongs to VLT 6000 series of the adjustable frequency drive. The powerful adjustable frequency drive requires an input voltage of 460 volts, which is sufficient to produce nominal output of 25 horsepower. The high-efficiency drive by Danfoss offers maximum output current of 34 Amperes. As far as fuse type and rating is concerned, the VLT6000H34 adjustable frequency drive must be provided with JJS or KTS-R Bussman fuse with 50 amps rating. The recommended fuse type makes the VLT6000H34 drive suitable for high-power circuits with up to 500V or 100,000 RMS output capability. The 460 Vac drive requires operating input current of 34 amperes while it features a wire gage of 6 AWG (max.).

The VLT6000H34 drive bears a VLT type 6027 which means, it should be mounted flush to wall. Furthermore, the adjustable frequency drive by Danfoss requires top and bottom clearance of 8 inches and 9 inches respectively, in order to perform to its fullest. The adjustable drive must be mounted vertically with front panel door opening outwards from right to left. The front panel features switches 1-4, Line L1 through L3, push button RFI switch, load sharing connecting points, 3-phase motor connection point, and secured bottom via screw, etc. This type of mounting meets NEMA 12 standard, which means, that the enclosure offers protection against solid objects as well as non-corrosive liquids.
